Wii lags after softmod. Any suggestions?

The title says it all. After softmodding my Wii, I have noticed that the Wii:

    • Lags when I turn on the Wii, i.e. takes some time to load the Health Screen.
    • Lags whenever I load a channel like HBC or the Disc Channel.
    • Lags whenever I exit from an app like USB Loader GX or a channel like Mii or Shop channel.
    • Lags when I open the Wii settings or Data Management; especially lags when I try to open the SD card menu in Data Management, whether while moving save data or while moving channels.

Is this a problem of my NAND filling up?

The problem is probably not the NAND filling up. NAND memory is unlike HDD memory. It does not have 'seek times' like HDD's and therefore do not need to be defragmented. If I had to make a guess as to what the problem is, the most likely would be priiloader (although it is still immensely unlikely to cause a noticeable lag). Try disabling all hacks to see if it makes any difference. Don't forget to re-enable them though!

All right. I'll try disabling the hacks and post back here again.

Thanks a many, Bliepo. It turned out just like you said; I had 6 hacks enabled which made the Wii lag by 10 seconds (I had my stopwatch with me). Disabling 3 hacks lagged it by exactly 5 seconds. What a coincidence! Thanks again.
