Us im tarded and i know it!

ok , here is the skinny. i recently installed the HBC and preloader made a backup of my nand and saved it to my pc. My wii was 4.3 I dg to 4.1 everything still worked as far as all the loaders and the pre loader. I had some old nes games layin around that i wanted to have a back up of, so i started messing around with my sd card trying to install the emulators and the backed up rom. all was successful. I think something in the actual hack itself has been altered. the hbc just resets console any of the channels that i installed just resets it as well, I cant get to preloader the console just resets boot mii was installed on ios and boot2. all the channels are still there . but they dont do anything . i formatted my sd card and installed the app pack to the card and still just reset after going to hbc . the disk channel still works to play my origionals but i dont want to get them scratched up, I was using wiiflow to play my backups but it too just resets the console. Any help? also is there any way to start over as far as resetting the console back to factory as much as possible then re-modding the firmware

Just to make sure Im understanding you clearly, your console just resets itself after launching any apps from the HBC?

Format your SD card and extract the app pack to the card again. You may have corrupted something there. jizzle is a dummy, OP already did that. If that doesnt work, post a syscheck. A "how to" guide is below in my sig.

Ah ok. Did you follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide? If so you should have the Backup HBC (black water). Try launching that and see what happens.

yes, i did follow the soft-mod any wii guide here on this site and it worked flawlessly thanks to the poster of that tut. the backup hbc channel gives the same results . since i dg to 4.1 should i look for tutorials that pretain to 4.1? i know its a silly question but im out of ideas...... ok the problem looks worse now. i thought since i was able to see the title of the disk in the console that the disk channel worked .... i was wrong when i hit start i get a black screen.

The ANY Wii guide is compatible with all Wii system menus 3.0 and up. Honestly, it sounds like IOS58 may have gotten mucked up somehow. Go back to the ANY Wii guide and perform the steps in Chapter 1, the spoiler "3.0-4.1 bannerbomb". This will reinstall IOS58 and IOS61, then reinstall the HBC. You can probably get away with not formatting again since you already have done that numerous times.

EDIT: After performing all of those steps and reinstall the HBC, make sure you delete the "private" folder and the boot.dol from your SD card.
