    Restoring to factory state

    Hi
I've had a hacked wii (4.2) for a few years now, and it's a bit of a mess - channels, messed up ios's etc all over the place, causing issues with games, some of which won't play as it's not up to date. I really need to restore the whole thing to how it was when it came out of the factory, then re hack once the wii's on 4.3.

What's the easiest way to do this, bearing in mind I don't care about game saves etc?

Do I remove the sd card, then update the wii, or format the wii then update?

Bit confused here, and would prefer not to brick my wii!

    Thanks, Alex

Do not format the Wii,This will erase your HBC.

You can soft mod it again to restore it without deleting anything.
If you have Homebrew channel installed you can follow the Soft Mod Any Wii Guide.(The Link is at the Bottom of my Signature.)
If you don't have Homebrew Channel installed, Start from the very beginning of the Guide.
Start from Soft Mod With Homebrew Channel Installed,If you have Homebrew channel installed.
Follow it all the way through.
Please Read the Guide A Few times, before proceeding.
