How to stop BootMii from starting on Wii startup and only on command?

I want my Wii to start up normally without BootMii, and want BootMii to start up only on command. For example, with Preloader, I think you have to press reset on Wii startup to open the menu up. Is this possible with BootMii? If not, would it work if I made a backup of my Wii, cut and paste my BootMii folder onto my computer and off of my SD card, and then put BootMii back on my SD card if I wanted to restore my Wii?

Just change the name of the bootmii folder from bootmii to bootmii_s. It will launch to your system menu instead of bootmii on start up.

Thank you for the reply, but wouldn't changing the name of the folder be the same as taking the folder off of my SD card and putting it on my laptop? Or is there a way to activate BootMii while the folder has that name?

Why would you want to activate bootmii anyways? Bootmii really shouldn't be used unless you have serious problems with the Wii like a brick and ect.

I like to keep it there just in case my Wii bricked. It's not a big deal, I guess I could remove BootMii off my SD card after every backup, but I was just wondering if it was possible to start BootMii similar to Preloader. I've never bricked my Wii before but it's nice knowing you're protected.

Like I said before, just change the name and if you need it change it back.

Yeah that's about the same as removing it from my SD and onto my computer but I guess I'll do one of the two things if it's not possible to load it like Preloader.

You can leave the bootmii folder on your SD card.

    With BootMii Configuration Editor.

Set the boot delay to '0' and the BootMii screen will not show when the Wiistarts up.

That is exactly what I needed. I set it to auto boot after 2 seconds so it's always there and if my Wii were to brick, I can mash the D-Pad on my GameCube controller or one of the buttons on the Wii to bring up BootMii when I need it. Thank you
