Any way to do zelda hack offline...?

I'm sorry if it's a stupid question. I have succesfully softmoded 3 of my mates Wii's now, but it takes me an age. Average is about 2hrs, but it can take anything upto 4-5 hrs.

It seems really slow downloading the files, so is there a 'simple' way to do this offline?

I've been following a guide, and using files from another forum, but it's the same as the guides here.

Anyone give me any pointers please?

Ummm.....are you trying to install the homebrew channel?

Depending on the system menu version, if you have 3.2 or lower, then you can use the twilight hack (yes buy twilight princess, but believe me this is a very addicting game.) to install homebrew

3.2 is recommended for homebrew because most vc and wiiware games require it.

If you have 3.3 or 3.4, then you got to downgrade by using the downgrade tutorial

    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...atutorial.html

If you have 3.1, then you can use anyregion changer to update to 3.2. However, you need to set up your internet connection for your wii. Just go to settings, Internet, wireless, and use scan. Also, the connection must be strong, meaning a green or blue connection bar. If the connection bar shows yellow or red, then your connection will drop and you will have to do everything all over again.

When I updated to 3.2U, I had to stack a lot of books and reposition my wii to get a stronger signal.

Another way to install homebrew is by installing a modchip.

Hi guys. Sorry - I should explain a little more.

As I'm laughably thought of as 'the computer guy' at work, i have done a couple of Wiis for mates. I have done 4 of these now, all using firmware 3.4, which I've downgraded to 3.2, installed homebrew, starfall and backup chanel etc. - all fine.

My issue is with the time it takes to download and intsall these files, quickest i've done is about 1.5 hrs, longest about 4.5. Just wondering if there's a idoit proof way of doing it ofline.

sorry, there is no way to do it offline. If you have system menu 3.2 then you can maybe install without using internet connection with the installer disc but that is just my opinion, you have to try and see how it goes.

Are you downloading via AOL? If so, you so need to get cable high speed internet. (It will blow your pants off.......)

Hi there. I'm on Plusnet, in the UK. Not really had a problem with speed before, and browsing/dowloading on my pc seems ok.

you can downgrade wii firmware without wifi. google it

i have only looked into it a bit, but by the sound of it if you have any problems with the files you need ie bad download of said files or bad copy over it will brick your wii.
