    Softmodd updating, possible brick?

I had a softmodded Wii for quite a while. I decided to sell it on craigslist and some women bought it. She knows nothing about modding so she will not be using it for burned games or USB loader. I was curious I she gets a new wii game that prompts her to update could it brick the wii? I would really like to know so if I need to go over there and formate the wii before it brick. I would appreciate any help

If it's been soft modded ,then it should have Priiloader in it.

Priiloader blocks online and disc updates.

Take into consideration ,she will have to update once in a while for cios etc.(From us of course,Not from Nintendo)

Check to see if she has preloader/priiloader installed By powering on the wii and holding the reset button for a couple of seconds.

I would have to call her and find out where she lives. I do believe it does. But if she was able to update it, could it brick the system? And would formatting the system clear all the soft mod stuff? I could call her and walk her through the steps of formatting it.

There's a chance,if she updates or it can just wipe the soft mod off the system.

And formatting the system is no better. This can cause problems as well.
We have a guide to make it like factory setting's.-->Remove Softmod Any Wii

Be warned that this guide can brick the wii as well.

To be honest with you ,it's safer being Soft modded.
It's just takes some work to keep it going,As anything in life.
