Yes, every disc gives me the same error. I am starting them in the Disc Channel, should I be using a different channel?

No, the disc channel should be fine. All your IOS are up to date, so your issue isn't softmod related (also that error you get about "the disc cannot be read" doesnt sound like a softmod issue). All of your games are NTSC-U correct?

Sounds like a drive problem to me. Does it make any noises when you insert a disc? For example do you hear the laser moving back and forth like you can in a cd or dvd player?

No, not at all, no noises like that. Should I post another system check?

No. I think either your drive has gone bad (more likely), or your laser lens is very dirty. I was trying to help you figure out if it is simply the laser, spin motor, or the whole drive that needs replaced. The first two options are inexpensive repairs, somewhere along the lines of $10. A new drive will obviously cost more quite a bit more than that.

If it was a softmod issue, you would get an error 002 when loading discs. Also, your first syscheck showed you already have all the up to date IOS needed. That leaves only one option, from my viewpoint anyways. Take a listen to your drive to see what noises you can hear. If it spins up you probably only need the laser. If you hear nothing at all, that isnt good news.

Do you happen to load any games via USB drive?

Come to think of it, before we hacked the Wii we had issues loading our Super Smash Bros. Brawl and I read it could be because of the laser, the same game disc reads fine on friends Wii's, so you may be correct about the lens being dirty.

Go that route first and clean your lens. New lenses are cheap, about $5. That, and the triwing screwdriver (appx $3) are all thats needed to replace them. Amazon or fleabay will get you some good prices if you search. Good luck!
