    Wii Shopping channel won't come back no matter what I do

    WII was working perfectly after following the softmod any wii guide for almost a year. Then one day, turn WII on and it's suddenly bricked. I tried everything to restore it, but the restore wouldn't work, said it was for a different WII. So, I followed the erase WII procedure, and then did the softmod any wii guide, worked just fine... Everything works, except, no matter what I do, I can't get the WII Shop Channel back. The main reason I want the WII Shop Channel is for NetFlix. Whenever I follow the directions, it appears to work, but when I reboot there is no WII Shopping channel in the main system menu.

    Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

    Is it on one of the other screens in the home screen? Press + while in the home screen to scroll thru them.

    I did check that, and unfortunately, no it's not on any of the other screens, they are all blank.

    Shot in the dark here, but are the region settings correct? Is the correct country set in the settings menu? And what do you mean by "I followed the erase WII procedure"? What exactly did you do?

    I tried that... Installed it, but it's not showing on the WII system menu.

    This is the one I used:

    I'll check the region settings when I get home tonight.

    Just to clarify, you are saying that you tried installing both the Wiishop and Netflix wads and neither are showing up?

    Yes, I installed them both with Multi Mod Manager using the WAD manager. The first time, they installed successful. Now when I try to reinstall it gives an error, probably meaning they are already installed.

    I checked my region setting, and it's definitely set to US, and Language is English. System menu 4.1U

    Also, I looked in WII system info in multi mod, here's what I got:

    WII SYSTEM MENU: v(null) on IOS60
    Console Region - USA
    Video Standard - NTSC

    Now moving over to boot2, retrieving boot2 version, your version is boot2v3

    Let me know if there's any other settings you want me to check.

    Here's the setting.txt that I used when I formatted with NAND formatter. When you look at the WII system menu in the guide

    AREA=USA
    MODEL=RVL-001(USA)
    DVD=0
    MPCH=0x7FFE
    CODE=LU
    SERNO=<DELETED FOR PRIVACY REASONS>
    VIDEO=NTSC
    GAME=US

    The guide shows inserting a game to get your system menu back, but I didn't have one handy, so I tried to follow the second step instead but this file was deleted from the link in the guide:
    MMM_IOS Pack_CB2_BB2.zip

    So, instead of doing that, I actually did what you had suggested at the end of that thread:
    "
    You could accomplish the same thing at that point by following the ANY Wii guide, only difference being the ANY Wii guide gives you extra apps."
