When loading games through HDD LONG load times

I never had this issue before, now when i run games with usbloader it takes 10mins to get to the games main screen.
when i run games normally with a CD it is perfectly fine

im guessing something to do with my HDD?

    thanks in advance.

Unfortunately you might be looking at a dying hard drive. Before you do anything I would suggest trying to backup as much as you can off the drive. To save space I would use Wii Backup Manager, and convert your files to WBFS. Then run the "Chkdsk" utility in Windows or comparable utility if you're on a Mac. Scan the drive for errors, bad sectors. Could be a power issue though.

You're experiencing really slow loading times and maybe choppy game play when it finally does load? Perhaps the controls become unresponsive overtime? Happened to myself too when I was modifying a Wii.
    Best of luck!
