    WiiXplorer / FTPii

I've been trying to get a stable connection to my Wii via FTP with both FTPii and WiiXplorer, though with either one of these the connection only sometimes holds, disconnecting multiple times before eventually failing completely. Some research has told me that cIOS 202[38] would allow the FTP to work correctly, but it does not. I have tried 202[57] and [60] also. With so little solid information on this topic, is there anyone who has a working FTP server on their Wii and no connection issues who could inform me of how they accomplished this?

That guide does not provide anything about making FTPii work if it's installed correctly and still not working.

Also, WiiXplorer's FTP server would be the main FTP server I would like to work correctly.. I just threw FTPii in there because it doesn't work either. FTPii does not provide much functionality, anyways + it will not mount my HDD, which WiiXplorer does flawlessly.

I can't get wiixplorer's FTP server to work either. Connecting with Mac os 10.7. I can view the files for a few seconds and then I get disconnected. I also get the "no symbol" for a cursor when trying to move a file to the disk. FTP is the only reason I would want to use the app.

    I haven't tried ftpii yet.

No luck with ftpii either. ftpii said I connected, got my command for root, and then disconnected. Tried connecting again and no results via ftpii's output. I can't even figure out how to get back to the system menu from this app. This is gay. An FTP app that worked would be very useful.

Yeah, I'd like to see one that functions outside one's wifi network... I use iSub on my phone and would like to be able to use the Wii as my music cloud.

I can't even get one of these apps to work within the same network! lol

Personally, I'd grab a mac mini if you want a home server. It would be faster and I wouldn't want to pre-maturely wear out my wii.
