i am having the same issue, i have already done this on 2 other wii's with no issues but this one, 3.4U is not letting me copy the file to the system memory, either it says, "data not copied" or "this file is already on the wii system memory" i have made sure to change the file to data.bin but nothing. any help would be great.

now remember there are three different folders with 2 saves in each one (one for each region, 2 saves in each, so six files in total).... just to make it easy make sure you delete data.bin in all three and rename twilight.bin to data.bin in all three.....

    in this directory: (sdcard)\private\wii\title

    there should be three folders:

    rzde
    rzdj
    rzdp

    each one has two saves
delete data.bin in each and rename the twilight.bin on to data.bin....

let us know if that works

Thanks for the instructions, but I am still unable to copy anything over to my SD card. At one point I had 3.4u firmware but was able to roll it back to 3.2u. Just recently added a bunch of Wii ware wads and I ran out of system memory. So I thought I could easily move it over to my 2Gb. SD. But no luck even after deleting and renaming the .bin files. Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

I used the Wiibrew.exe and it worked fine. Beforehand I was getting the "Data was not copies" message (3.4)

delete the data.bin and rename the "twilight hack.bin" to data.bin (essentially all the wii will read is anything named data.bin and renaming the second one lets you use the updated save) now that you should be able to copy over.... load zelda and go from there....

at least thats what i did...

    edit: dol=/=bin lol fixed
That was all covered in the original post. After trying several different versions I eventually found one that would copy, and all went well. Still cannot install some IOS (especially 36) but thats just a niggle as I now have a D2Pro and am concentrating on getting my backups working now...

I have same issues. i didi everything as per instructions then from advice from this forum I tried the wiibrew.exe only saved my region usa. and still no luck. when people refer to the twiight.bin file is that not the 1 that is already included in the wii.exe download/ othrwise I dont see a separate bin file.

You have to play the twilight for at least 1 minute.... after played for over a minute you can stop playing.... and you can delete the saved game and copy the saved game from the SD card...

When play less as 1 minute you can't copy. You don't have to all mentioned tricks above... just use the correct files for 3.4
