    Could really use some help!

    Hi,

About 2 weeks ago I installed the homebrew channel on my wii and have been learning more and more about it since. I've been trying to load a usb with an iso installed on it. However, ive tried many usb launchers (Usb Loader GX, backup loader, loadMii, neogamma, boot it) and none have worked. One of the first things I did after getting homebrew was try and install necessary IOSs when i was prompted to install the trucha bug thing. I seemed to have been able to install ISO58 with TBR and dop-mii? I'm usually able to figure these types of things out but when it comes to the IOSs im stumped! The USB loader GX said it needed at least ISO58, which I apparently, have yet when I click on the icon, it returns me right back to the homebrew menu. Right now I'm thinking I need IOS249 as that's one that is mentioned a lot with the usb loaders and homebrew in general. I tried using dop-mii to install it but it wont work! Many times I've received the following errors (all when trying to install or restore IOS15 to try and start over again, or simply work with IOSs in general):
TBR & Dop-Mii: "you need the IOS15 downgrade, thats what the TBR is good for"
Dop-Mii: "Could not set revision to 0"
AnyTitleDeleter (attempted to clear IOSs) & On occasion TBR: "Ticket delete failed (No ticket?)"

I probably sound pretty moronic with all this confusion. I really just want to get my usb able to load and get all the IOS stuff figured out. As you can imagine, all this has been pretty frustrating as it seems every time I try something on homebrew, Im met with an error. I would be extremely grateful if someone could help out a lost gamer girl like me sorry for being such a newb lol. Thank you so much for reading this long post!c

Additional info: Wii system 4.3U (white), downloaded homebrew using MAC code/letter bomb thing (didn't use a game disc or modchip).

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I also have the backup loader app (Version 0.3 beta) as one guide or another encouraged me to install it and when I attempt to open it im met with the error: "ERROR: Could not open disc subsystem! (ret = -6)" then it tells me to press any button to restart the wii but just takes me back to homebrew

You seem to have followed various guides to get to the point you are at. If you had just started here you would have found the softmod any wii guide and you would be all set. There is a link in my signature, click it and follow it. If you still have issues after that then post back here. There is no need to delete anything, just follow the guide and it will overwrite what it needs to.

Thank you for the quick response! I've been following the Softmod Any Wii guide. However, I was met with an issue early on. In chapter 1, when trying to update my HBC, i extracted the MMM-58-61_Hackmii_1.1.0.zip file into my SD and booted MMM. When I attempted to install the wads IOS58-64-v616.wad installed fine but IOS61-64-v5661.wad didn't install and i got the following error: Title (-1035). This is my second attempt at the guide, I had ignored this issue last night and got to chapter 2 without any more issues. However, after copying all the .wad files and setting up my SD just like the guide said, I got a few errors when verifying checksums (bootmii files wouldnt appear, whether in apps folder or on root of SD card). since the NAND process went fine I figured the bootmii could be ignored for now. I went back into MMM attempting to install all 35 wads present and only 3 worked-32 were unable to install. I was met with errors: Title (-1035) and ticket errors. Anyway I think the root of the problem was being unable to install IOS61. I really hope these errors dont mean I cant mod my wii what should I do now?

One prob I see is that you mention 35 wads. There are only 30 that you are supposed to install. Format your SD card and then start again on chapter 2. Make sure all checksums verify.

And that 1035 error you are getting means that you already have a newer version of that IOS, so nothing to worry about.
