Angry Homebrew Channel Update + Missing Apps..?

So my Wii (4.3U) is softmodded, and I've been using it successfully for months. The other day, I opened Homebrew Channel and was informed that there was an update available (for the Homebrew Channel, that is. First time I'd been prompted to update, so I guess the version I'd been using was the one immediately before this one). Thinking I might as well update, I did just that.

    Mistake.

Now, whenever I open up the Homebrew Channel, all of my apps are gone from that screen. Yup. Gone. All I get is that blank area with the bubbles, which is significantly less entertaining than the apps that once populated it. And when I click the Home button and try to Launch BootMii, I just get a black screen and a shut-off Wiimote.

My programs are still intact, though. The program forwarders on my home screen all work fine. USB Loader GX, fine. WiiMC, fine. Everything on there works fine, but my Homebrew Channel now appears to be empty.

What happened? How do I restore it without having to re-mod my Wii? I feel like this is probably a stupid question, but I couldn't find any similar posts, and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. If there was nothing in my apps folder, I could understand why maybe the Homebrew Channel would be blank.. but there are apps there, and nothing is showing up in the Homebrew Channel.

    Ugh. Help.

When in homebrew, press 1. Then pick either sd or usb where you apps folder is kept.

Tried that. Internal SD Slot (which is where my apps are kept) is already selected. Switching to USB Device gets me a code dump, which may or may not make sense given that there are no programs on my USB device.

How would I go about reinstalling without having to do the entire softmod again?

Easiest way is to run letter bomb/banner bomb.

Err.. LetterBomb was how I initially softmodded my Wii. I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve having to re-softmod.

No the easiest way would be to run the hackmii installer v1.0 via homebrew channel.
