    Is it just me or?

I'm not new to the hacking scene. I like to think im an all-around computer guy. im no genius, but i've never had problems hacking my phone, backing up movies or games for emulators. I hacked my wii to backup some games but i keep hving touble downloading the iso files. I've tried torrents, tehparadox, megaupload sites. i'm running out of ideas. every file i've downloaded has been zip files that give me errors. I have the full version of winrar and no matter where i get my file, i get an error stating that the file is damaged or something. does anyone else get this? im running out of ideas...

    p.s. im drunk lol

I've never had a problem with winrar/zip but quite a few people do.

What extactly do you do when the file has downloaded?

If you right click the top file and click EXTRACT HERE, after a few minutes, the program should produce an ISO for you to burn.

thats what i do. i download, say on bittorrent or via megaupload. i open the rar in the download folder and it opens winrar. i see the iso and click extract here, extract file, drag and drop (ive tried them all). i throw it somewhere else and try to open it. then i get an error that says the file is damaged. i've tried repairing the file, nothing. tried it with multiple games/files. i've never had a problem with opening a file contained in multiple rar files. thats why im so confused. these things aren't new to me. but i've tried multiple games through different methods.

You don't open the ISO that you extract by the way. Windows doesn't understand the structure of a Wii ISO and will always give you an error.

You can, however, open the ISO in WBFS manager, Wiiscrubber, IOSpatcher, Dolphin emulator and other Wii oriented apps. Imgburn will happily burn the image to disc.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

I think he means he can't extract the compressed file to get to the ISO.

im with Tealc on this one, i think its the usual case of .iso being associated with winrar, and people thinking that the iso is actually a rar/zip and needs unzipping.
