Have you installed a cIOS? and are you burning on dvd-r at 2x? and are you burning the iso file or the 4 rars? If you dont have a cIOS, click cIOS38-rev14 at the bottom of my signature download it, unzip then put it in your apps folder in your sd card and run.

I downloaded all 4,but only extracted one file (which was the iso file..3.4Gbytes size). Used imagburn...I'll go out and buy DVD-r...also i'll tell u what i currently have....ver4.1u,wad manager v1.4,cIOS35-rev10. If i install the cIOS38-rev14,will that mess anything else i have installed?...

also the video i watched was this.

No it wont since cIOS38-rev14 is an updated version of cIOS36-rev10 that you installed it will just update the cIOS. And the iso is 3.4 gb? strange it should be approximately 4.3 GB.

Well there are certain things you can do:
-Use the latest backup launcher which is Neogamma
-Use the latest stable cIOS such as cIOS38-rev14 or cIOS38-rev13 (Your choice which one you want to install because installing them both will just cause them to overwrite the other.)
-Burn at low speeds such as 2x
-Use good media such as Verbatim DVD-Rs

if i were to change the cIOS to 38-rev14, will it mess up anything on the Wii? It would just update it correct? Like I said, i basically did everything from that vid. I am able to access everything from Wiibrew, but its just the backup launcher.

You dont have to worry about cIOS38-rev14 messing up anything because it just overwrites the old IOS249 with a newer one. Your old cIOS36-rev10 would download and patch IOS36 and write it as IOS249 so since rev14 does the same to IOS38 it will overwrite the old IOS249. So you dont have to be worried about bricking your wii since it does not interfere with the System Menu, its IOS which my guess is either IOS30 or IOS60 depending on your firmware.
