Burning wii games?

Hey guys (if you decide to help me) thanks for the help.

My dilema is... i have an iso. file of 'Tom clancys splinter cell double agent' and was wondering if i need to patch it before i burn it and start playing it on my wii (already softmodded with hbc and back up loader).

I ask this because i have already buned a copy of it successfully using 'nero' and the game gets to the secreen which states it is 'licensed by nintendo' then my controller goes off and my tv screen just goes black. my wii is still on but nothing else happens.

I am new to this so please take it easy, imn only 16 lol

1st r u using the right dvds and no you dont need patch it as long as you have the iso file made correctly you can jus and play i ussually use IMGBURN instead of nero and im only 14 and new to this stuff

im assuming your games work.
so what dvd's do you use, im using dvd-r 8x. but im burning at 4x does this make a difference?

when i burn use dvd-r yes im not sure when i imgburn the best speed to use is 2x i have like 7 games done so far

they are still not working. it get s to the screen saying this game requires a nunchuk... then it says 'licensed by nintendo' then freezes. this must mean that the game is being read by my wii doesnt it?

probly so it might work with another game if not that the iso is probly messed up

I wonder if it's a bad image. Is this the first game you've tried to burn and play?

yes it is the first image ive tried burning.
I dont know if it is a bad file, there is no way to tell is there?
im fairly certain it isnt the disks, because i tried using the usb uplaoder off my external hard drive and the same thing happened, it just crashed at the same place.
im at a loss here guys!!

ureaka!!!
ive found the problem, using nothing more than my own common sense. the game was obviously being recognised but something was disrupting its progress. It was then i came accross the iospatcher, having downloaded this and opening it up it told me to inut an ios. So i thought lets try ios249 as it was originally running off ios 9 or something. Guesss what guys it works, and now im playing games for free.

are you sure youre using the right region of wii games (ntsc=usa pal=europe)?
