read error please help!

hello, so i have a 4.2 softomodded wii an i followed the quide on how to play gamecube backups on wii..
i burned super smash bros melee whit img burner at 4x speed and when it loads it says: "game disc could not be read, read the gamecube instruction booklet for more information."
then i burned zelda wind waker and i loaded fine.. but then while i was playing for about one hour this message appeared again. what is going on? am i doing something wrong? is there any way to fix this?
i tried reburning the games but the same thing happens all the time.. please help me... thank you in advance :)

What kind of discs are you using? Verbtabim DVD-r is recommended. And believe me it matters. Also, burn with imgburn at 2x or 4x times.

i am using tdk dvd-r.. no good? this may be the problem? thanks for your time by the way

I haven't used tdk so can't say for sure. But I know the media you burn to does make all the difference. I tried burning a memorex DL disc for a xbox360 backup and my pc wouldn't even complete the process. But the Vertabim DL disc worked perfect.

This holds true for Wii games too. If you followed the Stomp's guide to play Gamecube backups, then I'm sure it's not the mIOS your using.

Only other thing it could be is you lens is dirty or taking a crap.

oh and how to do i figure out if my lens is dirty?

You can tell if you clean it and then your discs work again. You can use this to clean it.
