    DIOS MIOS/Games not working

    Hi all,

I'm fairly new to the whole thing of loading games from SD. Still, I'll give it a shot here:

My problem is simple: I'm using DIOS MIOS to load some games. So far I've managed to play Wind Waker, Luigi's Mansion, Eternal Darkness, Mario Sunshine. But I want really bad to play Ocarina of Time and Metal Gear: Twin Snakes, but when I try them, the screen gets black and nothing else happens. In the case of OoT, I can see the menu at the beginning (the one where you choose whether to play OoT or Master Quest, and you also supposedly can see some videos and stuff), but after making a selection, I get to the black screen.
I wondering if it has anything to do with the games or what the H. If anyone has some sort of answer to my problem or can enlighten me even a little I'd appreciate it greatly. Also it'll help me a lot if you guys know of some easy-to-follow tutorial about some other loader that allows me to play GC games via SD or USB.

    Thanks a lot!!!

Hi, I have not used Dios Mios in a long while but usually the problem of a black screen is due to the HDD not being formatted properly (FAT32 with 32kb cluster size, plus primary and active) or the HDD is simply not compatible. Seeing as to you stated some games do work it's likely not the drive being incompatible. Are you running these games through the DiscEx program before placing them on the drive? And are you sure you're placing them in the correct directory?

As for other programs that can load GC ISOs from SD or USB I would recommend looking into Devolution (links in my signature). It loads GC game ISOs in from a USB device, doesn't require ANY installation to the system NAND and it also supports Audio streaming whereas Dios Mios does not. Audio Streaming is used by a number of games and without it some games will not have background music and/or sound effects.

Hi, could i possibly hijack this thread :-)

I am having difficulties loading/ reading games from my USB HDD and SD.

I have tried various loaders, WiiFlow, USB Loader GX, Postloader, CFG loader all with similar results, ranging from not reading games from hdd at all, or wanting to copy to SD then black screen.

I am currently using diosmios 2.6, USBloader GX V3 with R1204 dol (as recommended on another thread) i have also tried mios V2.8, V2.8lite, 2.8, 2.8lite and 2.10

my wii games are in usb:\wbfs
my GC games are in usb:\game\[GAMEID]\

please can someone give me a basis to work from its driving me insane.
