Apparently 2 dungeons were cut out of the final product due to time constraints regarding the release date...I never knew this, is it true? If so I hope those removed dungeons end up in the HD remake for Wii U.

Yea I heard about this a while ago on the Zelda Dungeon forums which I'm a member. Apparently this is the reason why Twilight Princess was so long.
It's been a while since I've played WW, but in a podcast I listened to this weekend when they talked about this, one of the items that you'd normally get as the prize for finishing a dungeon is just handed to you since that dungeon was cut out.
It would be nice to have the added content, maybe ease up on the damned Triforce hunt padding in the later game. :)

I had no idea either but it sort of seems possible, I know 2 of the islands you get items from (fire and ice something?) were pretty short, almost left me feeling like they should have had dungeons.
I do know what IIaffer said is true, the Tri-force hunt was thrown in to fill out the game. I remember Anouma (the games director) had apologized for that in an interview saying the task was mundane and felt rushed.
