Mario Strikers Charged : Freeze at "loading" screen

As soon as I boot it from cfg (v70) it freezes at the loading screen, doesn't even get to the "wear the wriststrap" screen.

I read around and it might be a bad dump but I just want to make sure. I used mauifrog's guide and the only other modification I made was adding d2x base 55 into slot 249 and ios 56 for pokemon rumble. This is one of the only 2 games that have given me problems, the other being boy and his blob, but thats another story.

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

If you followed mauifrogs softmod any wii guide, there was no reason to add any cIOS or IOS. I would imagine that is your problem. Reinstall d2x v7 249 base 56. And I would imagine your IOS 56 you installed was the same revision you already had, otherwise it would of gave you an error.

Well when I installed the ios 56 wad using wad manager it didn't give me an error. I didn't want to but pokemon rumble was so troublesome when I was using mighty channels and this made it run smoother (still had a few freezing issues but was better).

Anyway, I reinstalled d2x v6 249 base 56 (didn't have v7 on me, but it shouldn't matter because MSC came out in 2007, right?) and it still froze on the "LOADING" screen.

When I installed that wad, I changed the base ios, didn't I? Was that wrong of me?

Yeah. 99% of games work best with a base of 56.
If u use wiiflow it will pick the best cios to load the game with for u. So if you have the latest cIos and the latest wiiflow and the game still doesn't load. It's a bad dump.

Rerip the original disc with your loader to the hard drive.

Alright, I'll try wiiflow. The ios wad that I installed was IOS56-64-v5146.wad

Is this the same rev as with mauifrog's guide? If so, how would I go about changing it back?

how do I change it to v5662?
