Mario Kart has defeated me. Help me with blackscreen please

I have a backup of Mario Kart that no matter what I do I cannot get to play, it just goes to a black screen after showing the standard wii remote warnings.

I am launching it from the latest version of Cfg Loader. I have tried every combination of base IOS for 249 that has been posted and it still just shows a black screen. I have also updated ios 36 to the latest version available using Multi Mod Manager.

I am at the end of my rope on what to do to get this dang game to work. What is the exact IOS combination I need, and what are the steps to install them?

Thanks for any and all help!

Try re-ripping it to your HDD. Delete it first, then re-rip it with the original.

Thanks but I've already tried that. md5 is the same on both the iso files that are created.

I am thinking this is an IOS issue...

Man, I used to run that game off the old Waninkoko cIOS249 rev 14. And believe me that is old.
Maybe post syscheck so we can see what's installed on your Wii.

Sounds like a bad rip to me.
If you are ripping from the original then no md5 check is involved.

The iso I have of the game is a backup I made quite a while back that used to work just fine. The back story is I dusted the wii off to try to play again and have randomly ran into this issue. I was comparing the md5's between my "master" backup and the one on my external HD.

I reformatted the HD over to WBFS, copied the game back over, same results. Black screen

Here are the results of my syscheck. Thanks again for all of your help!
