Black Screen Issues With CFG

Hi all,

I had always been using USB Loader GX without any real issues, but recently softmodded a second Wii for upstairs and followed mauifrog's guide. The CFG USB Loader seemed a bit better, and it also freed-up my HDD to be used on my machine as it was FAT32 so I re-modded my first Wii.

The problem is that some games will not load, whereas they did before with GX, so I assume that I'm missing something simple.

I got COD3 to work by changing the ios to 250, but I've tried changing the ios on the other games without success. The guide says that the loader should have all of the cios updates needed and I know that the back-ups are good because they were working before. On one of the Wii's I have updated CFG to v70.

I have checked the Priiloader to make sure that I am region-free, and it's not that.

Wii Party and Mario Party 8 are two of the games, I can list more if needed.

1.) Post a syscheck
2.) I don't understand what you mean by "and it also freed-up my HDD".
3.) If you're playing off of a HDD, the region-free option in Priiloader doesn't matter. That option is only for physical discs.

I'm not familiar with CFGLoader, I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

Ever since the new guide came out people have been reporting a lot of issues with CFGLoader and when they try and switch to ULGX they experience issues because of the weird d2x cIOS bases. IMHO, they should not have changed the cIOS bases.

Thanks for the reply. I'll post a syscheck soon, it freed up my HDD because when I was using USB Loader GX I had to format my drive in a way that Windows could not use, it was a couple of years ago and I think it was part of WBFS Manager.

FWIW, ULGX supports WBFS, FAT32, and NTFS filesystems.

A little update, I've put the latest USB Loader GX on, and everything works fine with that so it must be a simple fix.
