Is d2x v6 the latest version? I don't think it is. If there is a later version, install those cIOSs.

cIOS 250 [57] is generally the one you need for COD games, so just try updating yours.

d2x v8 beta is out, check out the top post on this page:

    http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...-guide-49.html

Try installing that with a wad installer (like multi mod manager).

Call Of Duty 3 worked way before this cIOS release. Just because a BETA release has come out doesn't mean it's the best thing to install.

    Spoiler

I copied this from a spoiler in Ultimate List of Troublesome Games and their Solutions! I have tried ios 249 [56] can someone tell me what neogamma r9 beta 47 is? im assuming its a usb loader. I am currently using cfg v70 loader. "Only works with WBFS drives ATM" somewhere I was reading with d2x-v7 all games are 100% compatable. did I read that correctly? are they compatable on all drive formats?

After much banging my head against the wall I worked out that COD3 runs different ios for each stage of the game (if you click on alt dol your loader will list them all) the only usb loader I have had success with is neogammerR9 because of the auto ios detect function, which means it will figure out and load the correct ios for each stage.
Apparently the latest revision of wiflow (R419 has this same function) I have tried it and it still wouldn't run the game however I have not been a big user of wiiflow and it is possible I may have not installed the revision 100% correctly. If you are experienced with wiiflow you might have better luck than me, I wouldn't call my test of this game on wiiflow 100% conclusive.
But at least I can confirm that it will 100%work on neogammerR9 (played through 3 levels anyway, with absolutely no glitches at all)
And I am very certain that you need a loader that will autoload and detect ios for diffferent stages of the game, if your loader doesn't have this function then it won't work past the setup stage, no actual gameplay.

I guess is should of kept you guys updated. The whole reason for me doing all this was to be able to use my old wii which has a bad drive in it.. It was one of the first ones released... The newer one is a black one.. both wii's have the homebrew channel installed on it.. I back up my games on the black one so i can still use the white one.. could never get the black one to play cod3 off usb harddrive the black one has these ios
    IOS222 base: ?? (r65535)
    IOS223 base: ?? (r65535)
    IOS224 base: 57 v5.1 (r65535)
    ISO245 base: 37 d2x v6 (r21006)
    ISO246 base: 38 d2x v6 (r21006)
    ISO247 base: 53 d2x v6 (r21006)
    ISO248 base: 55 d2x v6 (r21006)
    ISO249 base: 56 dx2 v7final (r21007)
    ISO250 base: 57 dx2 v7final (r21007)

the white one is has dx2 v7final (r21007) on all of them.. 222,223,224,245,246,247,248,249,250 the white one has no problem playing the game iso249, block reload iso.. played 1 level on it.. havnt messed with changing the black one to all dx2 v7final bc that drive still works and i can play it off disk. when I get extra time I will update all the iso on the black one and repost on here if that solved the problem with that wii. but i did have success on the older wii to get it to play the game.. btw i have cfg v70 on both wiis now

    IOS is not the problem

As far as I can confirm personally, neogammerR9 using usb load instead of disc load is the only way the game will run off HDD, I have read on another site somewhere that using disc load on many usbloaders will work for this game, somehow running the game from a dvdr overcomes the different ios reload problem. (i don't understand the reason completely, but I guess running the game from disc helps the loaders find the right ios)

The problem is not the cios, the problem is the alternate/multiple ios that the wii must switch to for each level.
At present most usbloaders won't auto switch ios mid-game (at least not off HDD, quite a few will when running a disc) . Only neogammerR9 and possibly wiiflowR419

Conclusion...........Call of Duty 3 will only work off disc for a lot of loaders, and will work only from HDD if you use one with auto ios detect, which as far as I am aware is neogammerR9 and possibly wiiflowR419

O.K I'm fairly new at hacking my Wii and am still getting my head around the whole cIOS world and I'm not sure if you've found a solution yet due to how long ago the last post was, but this is my solution to be able to play Call of Duty 3 using "USBLoaderGX ver 3.0 rev. 1180". In about June of this year a new version of "dx2 cIOS installer" was released, version 8 I believe, and with it a new set of WAD files, which "ISOGUY" did mention. In particular, ISO250 base: 57 dx2 v8final (r21006) also known as "cIOS250[57]-d2x-v8-final.wad". With the new WAD file installed all you have to do is set Game ISO to 250 in USBLoaderGX settings menu. So far I've had success with loading COD 3 as well as CoD: MW1, CoD: World at War and CoD: Black Ops with the latter being the only other little hassle. I'm yet to tangle with CoD: MW3 or Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, but I'm still smiling so far.
Hope this helps anyway, if it's not to late.
