MW3 NTSC on PAL Wii - won't download update?

Hey guys,

I am running the NTSC version of MW3 on my PAL Wii. I have purchased the PAL version too.

My issue is that both games work fine but when I use the NTSC version, it will not download the 17/11 update where as the PAL version does.

Do any of you clever guys know a way round this that will get the NTSC version to download the update please? I spent 3 days playing the NTSC version before my PAL version arrived in the post so I would like to save my progress if I can and continue using the NTSC version.

well 2 things here you might have to backup ur save game but i dont thing the 2 ersions are interchangable none of my saves show up when i switch from pal to ntsc and you may have to delete the update from one to install the other but make sure you backup all ur saves before messing with it thought just in case ok i tried to help no see what you can do

If your playing an out of region game you won't be able to DL the patch.

What you need to do is, rename the ISO, so it matches your region.
There's a little program called "WiiISORenamer"(Google it, as I don't have it).
You have to change the ISO name from NTSC version-SM8E52, to the
PAL version-SM8P52.
Then you'll be able to DL the patch.

I have a USA wii and a SM8E52 game which would be USA version, but i still get the V.0.2 at the top and the There Is No Server Response. Before the patch was out i was playing it as i had like 14% on the save file. Please any thing else to do to get it to work?

I have this code on my ISO : SM8X52
So meaning what ? no region ?

Turns out Both SM8P52, and SM8X52 are both PAL English versions.
Don't know the difference though lol.

I think that fix is for region changed Wii's, but it's good info for changing the region of your game save. So thanks.
We have a fix already posted in the game guide.
