    Need Updated cIOS 222 and 249

    Hello, I consider myself at intermediate level when it comes to softmodding a wii, so I am trying to understand the problem I am having. I softmodded my wii a long time ago and had it working just fine. I am trying to prepare my wii for the new games that are out/coming out so I decided to update my softmod. I followed Mauifrog's softmod guide exactly word for word and I came across a black screen error when loading up my USB Loader GX(Note: This is the same version USB Loader GX from my original softmod):

    ------------------------------------------
    ERROR!
    USB Loader GX needs unstubbed cIOS 222 v4 or 249 c9+

    I found
    222 = 0
    249 = 0

    Go figure out how to get some cIOS action going on in your Wii and come back and see me(Good advice)
    ------------------------------------------

    I have swapped out of the dud cIOS with the working one before but I forget where to get the updated version and how to do it. I'm not exactly sure that that is the problem either because it seems like Mauifrog's guide is pretty solid and he would have given the working cIOS for the installation, so maybe I might have a different problem altogether. I am working with the Wii System menu 4.2 with region in Canada so if anyone has any idea how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated!

    P.S To my understanding, when new games come out all you need to do is modify your cIOS to have the games working properly. I was wondering if that was correct? If so, was it a mistake to re-softmod my wii in this case? I am trying to understand the process better :P

    The results you post suggest while you think you followed mauifrog's guide correctly and fully, it appears you did not. That's telling you that both 222 and 249 are stubbed (as in no cIOS). Mauifrog did counsel you to watch to make sure all wads install without error; were you careful to watch for that? You can post a Syscheck as described here if you'd like confirmation of the suspicions I mention...

    What issue are you having with what specific backup, since you posted in that forum section?

    Alright I did a system check on my wii and here is the text:

    Spoiler

    Let me know if they are installed right or if I need to re-install the wads. I thought I saw them all install correctly when I was going through the process but I could be wrong.

    A simple response, and I would have moved this to the newbie section.
    Now you'll have to repost your question there, as you should have to begin with.
