The link in the 3rd post on this thread fixed it for me. You have to convert your wbfs files into an iso first, I used Wii Game Manager, then just follow the instructions in the link given.

I converted the files into an .iso, and I followed the instructions in the post. I had a problem first, because when I right-clicked the shortcut I didn't know what to do afterwards, but I changed the target in properties and it worked. However, the program didn't create any more wbfs files and they look exactly the same as the ones I started with, but I will try to run the game.

Nope, it still freezes at the same point, in the same cut-scene. Thanks for your help anyway though.

Do you have an 8gb thumb drive? If so, then format the thumb drive to NTFS, or WBFS, and transfer the game to the thumb drive
as an ISO, so then it's one file. That should work. I know it's a painful way to do it, but it may be you're only option.

I have gathered some information and proceeded to split my HDD into two separate partitions, one being FAT32, where I load the WBFS files, and the other being NTFS where the ISO file can be placed in its entirety. However, I have tried to load the game but was unable to do so through USB Loader GX, Wii Flow, Configurable USB Loader.

Wii Flow and USB Loader GX can detect the game is present, but for some reason they don't load.

Erm has anyone just played from their game disc to get past the freezing part, and then play on from the HDD?

I am not sure if this will help but I had the exact same problem, freezing right after the fight with the second mechon. It is definitely due to the WBFS file being split into 2 files. I found the following link which worked for me.

Guide to Fixing Xenoblade Chronicles Cutscene Freezing! - GBAtemp.net

Basically, after I added the single iso file a newly created folder titled "wbfs" in the NTFS section of my HDD I renamed it "SX4P01.iso" (SX4P01 is the game code for Xenoblade Chronicles). Then in USB Loader GX, in the settings I switched the drive from FAT32 to NTFS and it played, no freezing.

I made this topic months ago and got no responses, so I'm trying some of these methods. I'm trying the one from the 3rd post, but I don't know how to find the "target box" to enter the text. I double click on the program but the box just pops up and exits. I'm running Windows 7. Any ideas?

    Hello all.
I used to have a NTSC-U xenoblade disc, until my nephew ruined it. But, before that, I've ripped the iso, and now I', trying to play it. Tried both loders: GX and CFG, both freezes in some cutscenes. I'm able to avoid it, saving right before the scene and then skipping it.
But I would like to know: Is it legal make a scrubbed version of this ISO (not for sharing, just personal use - me and my brother-in-law, the father of the kid which ruined the original disc).
If I may do that, HOW can I do it? I know how to use Wii Scrubber, used it tryng to play Metroid Prime 3, but I do not know what parts I have to remove from the original iso.
