    Problems getting Twilight Princess to run off of CFG USB Loader

    I had my Wii previously hacked and playing games off of installed images to a WBFS formatted USB HardDrive over a year ago.

    I went to hack it again, and followed the steps listed in the http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html thread to install the latest set of tools, including CFG USB Loader.

    After telling CFG USB Loader which partition to look at for my disk images, all my old games are found. When I tell it to run Twilight Princess, it gets to the opening screen where it wants me to press A & B together to continue. when I do that, I get a black screen and need to hard reset the Wii in order to do anything else with it.

    Is there a special setting that I need to enable to get Twilight Princess to run?

    Half >24-hour bump, half more info:

    I don't think this will fix the problem, but just giving an update to what I've done and what I'm doing:

    I verified that my USB hard drive is on the list of "working with the Wii" hard drives.

    I have the hard drive attached to my computer and currently restoring the ISO images off of the WBFS-formatted hard drive so I can FAT32 format it and restore the .ISO files as .WBFS files that CFG ISO seems to be wanting.

    When that's done, I'll test things to see how they work, but I'm not expecting this to magically make the games that are not working, work. I'm thinking there is something else wrong. Did anyone have any ideas?

    Try and delete and rerip the games that aren't working from your original disc.

    I wasn't able to find my disk, my kid says it's too scratched up to be playable anyway. When I backed up the hard drive before reformatting it, the file was restored to a full ISO and then shrunk back down to it's 1.1 gig format. The game still fails.

    As a temp measure, I'm trying the PAL version of the same game to see if it also crashes in the same place or not. If it is still broken, then it's not the ISO, but something with the Wii. If it is no longer broken, then it will be the ISO and I'll try to get a clean disk to rerip.

    If anyone else has any other suggestions, I'm open to hear them.

    If it's too scratched up, you can get it fixed. I know the local rental store by my house (Family Video) fixes discs for like $3. Not sure where you are but maybe that would be an option.

    Wii backup manager has an option to verify md5 hash under the tools tab. It will let you know if any of the games on your drive are corrupt.

    I had Wii Backup Manager run through the MD5 hashes of my collection, and it found no problems.

    So I guess this means now that there's something wrong with the Wii.

    Anything else that I should be trying? Installing? Updating?

    Have you tried loading the game with a different cios?

    No. Only the one that I installed when I followed the directions.

    Which one(s) should I try?

    And as for trying out the PAL version of the game, I didn't even get to the stupid wii remote handling warning screen. It locked up as soon as it launched. So it did not get as far as the US version got.

    Try 248, then try 249, then try 250, then try 222, then try 223, then try 224. Change the ios in the game settings of your loader.

    I've tried all of the settings:

    245 and 246, I don't have installed.
    247, 248, 249, 250, 222-mload, 223-mload, and 224-mload all crashed at the same point, after pressing A&B at the same time.
    222-yal and 223-yal crashed the USB Loader and went back to HBC.
