NeoGamma: Problem loadimg GameCube backup discs (region problem?)

Hi there, new to the community. I have a problem in that I cannot get NeoGamma to load a backup disc properly. I've followed the directions found here:

to the letter. I'm using the reccomended DVDs on the reccomended settings, I'm verifying the burn, and NeoGamma seems to recognize that Kirby's Air Ride is on the disc without issue.

When I start NeoGamma, I'm given a green screen, some loading, and then another green screen that results in my Wii needing a hard reset. There is a video here showing the process:

When I play with the NeoGamma Wii/GC Settings, I get varying results, sometimes with black screens in place of the green ones, but the result always ends up with me needing a hard reset. I am almost positive this is a region problem, but I know its not a hardware problem because this Wii is ridiculously old school - we bought it within the first few months of the Wii's existence.

If I'm correct and NeoGamma's settings are the problem, how do I go about repairing this? Or if I'm wrong, what do I need to do?

If you think it's a region problem, why don't you try backing up the originals?

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking - I'm currently using a backup disc as is.

BMarlo is saying try making another backup disc from your original disc to see if that works.

I'll do that right now, but could somebody explain how that might help me? Is the theory that my disc is bad?

Its troubleshooting. Want to rule out a bad rip.

Ah, a bad rip... the problem is, I no longer have the disc in question. I can try a different game though, if that would help.

So where is the disc lol
Plus why are you trying to play outta region games on your console.
Wouldn't it have made sense to but a in region game in the first place?

The disc story is a long one that doesn't particularly need to be explained. As for NeoGamma, I ripped another game, burned it and its working no problem right now - that would mean that the original game had a bad rip, yes?

No disc, no help. No different than piracy if you do not own/possess the original disc. Thread closed.
