    DVD Err(1208), Disc ID

I'm getting "DVD Err(1208), Disc ID" message on NeoGamma R9 b47 IOS249 (Rev 14) on backups that have previously worked. I have recently modded to play gamecube backups and those, as well as my wii backups, have worked great until about an hour ago. Now none of my wii or gamecube backups load at all. My wii is 4.2u... S#LU31... soft modded... games on dvd-r... good iso's... worked great until recently. Suggestions?

Correction: just popped in a game and it worked. I took it out, tried a few more and they did not work. Then I put the first game in again, the one that worked, and now it does not work. WTF?

I read and read and read and somewhere, someone on here suggested lying the wii horizontally and that seems to have done the trick! All the games are playing fine now!

Guys! I've got the same issue!
But none of the wii positions I've tried didn't help!
Tried lots of different loaders. Some of them returned nothing as if I didn't try to launch DVD at all.

And only neogamma returnes an erorr. Tried to versions of neogamma:
    1) NeoGamma R9 b47 IOS249 (REV 21007)

    Init drive...
    DVD Err(1208), Disc ID
    Drive date: 20101207
No doubt: No DVD-Rs possible :-(
    2)
    NeoGamma R9 b56 d2x56v7final (249)

    Reset drive...
    DVD Err(03023a00) Disc ID
    DVD+R/bad burn/DL-problem?
    Drive date: 20101207
Drive to new for DVD-Rs :-(

Tried to use 2 burned Verbatium DVD-Rs on 4x and 2x speeds with ImgBurn. Images do work as i've played them running from usb stick.

Is it really could be that the disc drive is too new for DVD-Rs??

    Thanks!
