Problem running No More Heroes 2 through CFG USBLoader

    Hey, first post here

I'm having some problems running No More Heroes 2 on CFG USBLoader. Every other game I've tried is working, even DL games.
The problem is, when I start NMH 2, I watch all that stuff about nunchuk needed, have space around you, etc. But when the actual game starts it says it has lost connection to the wii Remote. The remote's light keeps on, but no more buttons work, not even power (I have to manually shut down the wii). I've tried runing it with every IOS, but the same thing happens.

I'm using CFG USBLoader v59, through IOS249 v20 (I've tried IOS250, but some games seem to work better on IOS249).
Any one has any idea what's the problem? Oh, the game is NTSC, and I have an US wii.

    Thanks a lot.

CFG boots No More Heroes 2, fine. I play this game with cIOS38 rev17 installed. All settings at default. I also installed it from a retail disc.

I tried installing WiiFlow and USB Loader GX, to see if it would work. Things went worse than I thought, GX said it couldn't find a FAT partition and WiiFlow finds the game, but when I try to run it, the screen goes black and the wii remote disconnects. What is worng with my wii? I saw somewhere the black screen error was due to old ios249, but I have r20! Plus, I'm sure ios249 is working fine, every other game works.

You do realize our guides rely on cIOS (yes, that's cIOS as in Custom IOS) 249 Rev 17, right? Black screens and wiimote disconnects usually have to do with either no cIOS installed or a corrupt installed cIOS.

I installed cIOS249 r20, since CFG USBLoader asked for r18 or higher to boot through it.

I'll be the first to say I'm familiar in passing with it. Did you try the version designed for IOS 222/Hermes? As to the second whole issue I mentioned, that you failed to address/glossed over?

I tried using Hermes -222, and it gets a little further on WiiFlow: it shows a "Please wait" before the black screen. I also tried an older version of GX (r961), but the same thing happens, it asks to search for a drive or format it, and when I search it says an Exception (DSI) ocurred. Using 222 on CFG, I get as far as 249.

P.S. If it is of any concern, I softmodded my console through mauifrog's guide (http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...mod-guide.html), and just updated cios249 to v20.

you thought of a bad dump? as mentioned earlier? you can test your hdd on another wii ?
you checked if your drive is set up correct? i know it was running all the time but check if your drive is set to primary and active etc. (you may want to have a look at the fat32 loading guide, link below)
you installed cIOS249 correct? look in the link below for the cIOS Wads, there is a recommended set up.
rev20 base 56, with wiiflow 2.1a works just fine (fat32 loading)
    good luck

I checked and re-checked everything and it all looks fine. I tested other games on the WiiFlow I installed, and it works pretty well. As one last attempt, I burned the NMH2 .iso to a dvd-r, and it works!
Thanks a lot for your help on this one, guys. I think I'll just keep playing this through dvd.
