Super Smash Bros error with USB Loader GX

I have a softmodded wii, i dont know exactly which mod was used/what version, all i know is on the main menu there is a USB Loader GX Icon that i use to load games from the USB HDD. there is also an icon for neogamma and one for homebrew channel.

All the games on my USB HDD load fine, except Super Smash Bros. It was giving me the black screen as soon as it loaded, then i retransfered it to the HDD as a full ISO (the 7GB one i think, not as WBFS) and it went past the loading screen, asked to create a save file, then gave the Error where it says to Eject the game and turn off the console, now it gives that error everytime after the first loading screen.

Ive searched the forum and tried a bunch of things (hermes 222 223, rev something). my problem now is, i dont really know which things i have installed and which i havnt. how do i check if hermes is installed and which rev i have? also, i dont know if it makes a difference but USB Loader GX is not running off the SD card (it still works without an SD card in the wii)

bottom line is, I need help finding which versions of things i have because im not sure how to check

    thanks

There is the result. Could somebody let me know what needs to be upgraded in order to play super smash bros? Also, does having a "full GX channel" mean USB Loader GX is installed on the Wii's internal memory? and will that have any effect on how i would upgrade it? if any more information is needed please ask and thank you

You have Hermes cIOS 202, 222, 223 v4 Installed. You also have cIOSx Rev 19 Installed (IOS249).

Also, does having a "full GX channel" mean USB Loader GX is installed on the Wii's internal memory? and will that have any effect on how i would upgrade it?
Yes it is installed to the internal memory. You can update it by installing a later revision using wad manager.
    Damn I suck!!!!

so according to all the threads ive read about super smash bros, i have the right IOS, so what might be the problem?
    ive followed this guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/submit-artic...gx-loader.html

the only part i was confused about was at the end of part d where it says These settings will be saved since USB Loader GX is run through the SD card and not through the channel.

i went to the homebrew channel and ran usbloader gx (which is off the SD card i assume) and am still getting the white screen after the loading screen that says to eject the disk, i did the same with usb loader gx from the main wii menu (off the wii internal memory i assume) with the same result. any ideas?

ive tried 249 and 222. in usb loader gx, should i be changing the ios by clicking the gears sign in the main window of usb loader gx or should i be clicking on the game, then going to settings and then changing the ios. should i be trying any other ios's? should i be changing any other settings? ive followed the settings given in the guide i was following which i linked above but no luck.

i dont know if this matters but i use an NTFS drive and Wii Backup Manager to put games on it. it normally converts games to wbfs but smash bros would load at all like that (black screen) so i got it to put the game on the hdd as ISO. after i did that the game loaded, asked to create a save file, then white screen saying to eject the game.

i will give cfg loader a try and report back.

i formatted an 8GB usb drive as WBFS and put my smash bros ISO on it and loaded it in usb loader gx using IOS222 and the game works fine

seems like there is an issue with trying to load it from an NTFS drive. i will still give cfg loader a try tomorrow to see if it can load it from the NTFS.

thanks for all the help, worst case scenario ill just boot smash bros from the usb stick and all the other games from the HDD
