....Brawl has to be the most problematic game on USB loader GX and Wiiflow.

I have plenty more links where those came from . But seriously, I looked at A LOT of "Brawl not working on USB loaders" topics.

I'll start the story from here. I followed the soft-mod guide. I have a 3.2U softmodded Wii with CIOS REV 17 and Hermes 222, 223 v4. I installed both USB loader GX (latest 938.dol) and Wiiflow (latest version also). I ripped a lot of games on both loaders and they all worked fine. So my next game to rip was Brawl, of course all the discs I have are retail and legit. I looked up info about Brawl knowing it will most likely have issues so I wanted to prevent them. I wasn't wrong.

So I set USB loader GX to IOS 222 before I ripped Brawl. Out of all the topics I looked up, only one directly had one issue I have for the next repetitions of getting brawl to work. Brawl never fully installs in any USB loader I have, even configurable usb. The game usually installs normally until 52%, then goes straight to 100% as if it skip the other percentages. USB loader GX shows the screen shaking up and down around 52% and then skips to 100%. Wiiflow just stop and 52%, then skip to 100 without the screen shaking. Config USB just tells me I have an error at 50%.

So far, I've been getting white screens, and the disc-read error screens. I've never had a black screen. And all of these past running tests were on IOS's 222, 223, 249, and even 250! I really can't concentrate on anything but to get Brawl working. The only thread I've found now that can possibly help me is this one.

The problem for me is, I can't add my Brawl ISO from my DVD drive because, well, it's the retail game. the real, original disc. If anyone, please help me.

I just had a crazy thought, and maybe the mods will disagree, but if you are up to it, try downgrading cIOS249 to rev14 and then using that to rip the games. That is the revision I've been using since I got my usb hdd about a year ago, and I have never had any problems, especially with brawl. Problem is, I don't even know if you'll be able to find a rev14 download or installer package. Plus this is a huge guess, just the only differentiation btwn my working softmod and others' non-working ones that I have observed.

Thanks for the reply. Dude, I might just try it. Heck, I have all the CIOS installation packages 9-19. All the other Revs even Rev 14 did not cross my mind, probably because the topics I read it had some sort of Dual Layer disc issue so Brawl would of been out of the question. I'll try it now and see if I get any progress.

cool, and if that doesn't work, try rev9 or 13. The more I think about it, the less I'm sure I was on rev14...but I'm on 14 now

I don't know why you would need to downgrade past 14. Rev 17 should run the game. If not use Hermes v4.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Not to be rude or in anyway insulting, but I have already installed Hermes v4 before I ripped the game the first time.

So far, the rev 14 does not work, I just get the white screen of "long long who knows when it'll end or it's just frozen." I have already tried CIOS Rev 17 before hand. Now, I get the same frozen white screen. ....Looks like I'm going to try for CIOS Rev 19 now.

I should probably mention that with the solutions I did just now, the game still installs the same as in, once it reached 52% it goes straight to 100% if that's a problem.
