Mario Party 8

Hello, I just recently hacked my wii and I encountered some problems when trying to play Mario Party 8. I'm on v4.1 and used DogEggs' tutorial to hack my wii, so I have all the IOS provided in that tut. Whenever I try to play Mario Party 8 through USB Loader GX, it goes to a black screen which I assume is a missing IOS problem. I tried to figure what IOS I was missing using IOSPatcher which told me it used IOS9, but it's not there when I load the game in wiiScrubber. I still installed IOS9 anyways to see if it worked but it didn't. I'm not sure what to do now to make this game work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It could be a bad download I would get another copy and give it a go. A game that old shouldn't be an ios issue for you if your on 3.4 or anything higher.

I tried a different .iso, but it still didn't work. Do you have any other suggestions?

Try changing the IOS to 249 using IOS patcher it worked for me

Game works fine for me. No ISO patching is required. Check to make sure you have the IOS it needs. Works for me with cIOS38 Rev 17... Loading it with IOS249 in Configurable USB Loader v 51 or above. Default settings.

Same here via Neo Gamma on a 4.1U unit that had Dogegg's 3.1-4.1 any Wii softmod done to it. The kids love this stuff...

I`m having problem with loading Mario Party 8. My Wii is 4.3E and i am using Configurable USB Loader version 65. All i get is a black screen. Do i have to update my IOS???

Dug up an old thread, here!!
You shouldn't have to do anything to get the game to work. Your ios are good. Try re-ripping the game to your hard drive, may have been a bad rip. Also, make sure the game is from your region. That may be the problem...

Yeah i know it`s an old tread, but i just "got" Mario Party 8. It works now. I had to force NTSC the game.

Yeah. Out of region games can sometimes be a bit screwy. Glad you got it figured out. Btw, next time you 'get' a game, shoot for your region. It'll make things a bit easier!!
