Well, I went and got myself another copy of the iso.
Still same problem. So it might not have been the file at all.

I skimmed through the posts and noticed nothing was mentioned about IOS. Go HERE and follow the directions in POST # 2 to find out what IOS the game needs to run. Then you can do a sys check or signcheck and see if you are missing the IOS, or it may need to be updated.

EDIT: I don't use Neogamma so I'm not sure if it has this option but have you tried to load the game with IOS222 or 223?

    Agh, the worst possibility.
I dropped the iso into the patcher and it said the ISO couldn't be read.
Both of the iso's are this way =/

Odd. Do you have a USB stick laying around you can format to WBFS and load the ISO onto that?

The best results (which aren't great) I've gotten are when I set the region to NTSC480-i and PAL480-i.
However, the result is that the screen rolls up and down rapidly. I've experienced this before with other games which I've fixed by choosing the correct settings.
However, I've tried all of them, with most giving me a green screen or just cutting the video feed off.
I've tried forcing the boot lang to English on all the settings as well (though, I didn't think it would matter since it ran at 480-i anyways)
If anyone has managed to make the game work or has solved this problem please let me know.

did you finally got it to work?
    if not try
    updating to neogamma r8 final
you already no how to work the force video, VIDTV patch, and stuff, so thats fine,
did you try going to rebooter option and put:
    region free: yes?

Edit: I finally got a hold of the game, but it's NTSC
maybe get another calling iso, that's on ntsc

I got the pal version you're using to run perfectly on USB loader GX. After I finish testing it to see if it freezes, if it doesn't and gameplay is smooth i'll post my results.

So this is what I did....

    Softmod NSTC Wii.

    USB Loader GX
I started the loader with IOS 249 Rev 19

I changed the Game Load settings for "The Calling" to.....

Video Mode: Region Patched (so it would load NSTC even though it's a pal version)
    VIDTV patch: On
    Game language: Console default
    Patch Country Strings: On
    Game IOS: 222
    Error 002 Fix: Anti
    Return to: off

Game runs perfectly for me, in full color, no lag, in NSTC.
