Definitely sounds like u've got a PAL version of those 2 games. Am I correct? Or do u not know?

Then it's simple, his TV just does not support the PAL signal the game is sending to it. That's why u get a black and white screen. This has nothing to do w/ the system. Its the TV.

Alternatively if you've tried forcing NTSC and patching all country strings then there's really nothing u can do besides try to get a NTSC version of the game. There's always a problem between NTSC and PAl formats of the same game. It's pretty much "hit and miss."

If u have the option always go for the format that matches your region. Or better yet the format that matches your system.

U can try using Th3_Rul3r's settings in this thread. Maybe that'll work for u. Hope that helps.

I dont know if this will work for you but have not seen any one else tell you to try this. I had your exact problem before with two games in the past, what worked for me was... (I use usb gx loader) in game load settings there is an option to change "video mode" that option is right above vidtv patch, in that option there are the options people have already offered you. what i did tho was to change the video mode from system default to disc default and that fixed my black and white problems. hope this helps

    Vidtv patch didnt work

skate it is ntsc version, punch out im not sure. punch out i can play its just in BW. skate it makes the tv messed up, like i need to adjust the tracking on a VHS tape.

i havent tried the force ntsc yet.

like someone else said i dont think its the system i think its with the tv. my toshiba flat screen everything is fine, his tube tv is not.

yea i dont believe tube tv's are as compatible if compatible at all for ntsc vs pal, but the new flat screens are more compatible.

    Ok so everything is fixed!

first off i realized it couldnt be the TV or the plugs that wouldnt make sense since the wii menu was in color.

I did force NTSC 480p, vidTV patch YES, video normal. now everything is fixed!

    thanks guys!!
