90% of games freezing after 15-20 minutes

Hey guys i have followed dogeggs tutorial and finally am able to play backups from a hard drive useing usb loader gx, although i am running into some problems. When i play a game lets say mario and sonic winter olympics i can play for about 10 minutes sometimes less and the wii just freezes. i cant press the home button or anything just total lockup and i have to reboot the wii. i am running firmware 4.1, i am using an external hard drive connected via usb cables, almost all of my iso's are NTCS, and i am using wanikoko's application to create wads. Also when i try to launch games direct from usbloader gx they never work and it freezes at a black screen. Is this happening to anyone else or does anyone have a resolution or tips that i can try to resolve this issue?

Try a hard drive with an external power source....i use Iomega Desktop Prestige Drive with 1 TB all dedicated to WBFS and no problems have ever occured minus alt-dols within USB Loader GX....i've had ZERO PROBLEMS however using NeoGamma to load via USB

Finally, someone else who knows the Microcenter....I just got my second Iomega Desktop Prestige Drive 1TB for $95 bucks last week for my Wii...you should seriously consider it, a TB for $95 is a steal and it has a power switch on the drive making it perfect for the wii

I have the entire TB dedicated to WBFS and have no problems...

    Us hard drives

first: we need to know what hard drive you are using
second:there is a hard drive compatabilty list on this fourm you can check there to see if the drive has problems
third: i have used 3 different western digital 1tb hard drives (new models) a 750 western digital hard drive and 2 500 gig western digital hard drives and never once had a problem
forth: i do know what the WD HD's are alittle more expensive but as the old saying goes " you get what you pay for "
fifth: i know what microcenter is too!!!! they have great deals on there brand SD cards and i have never had a problem with one yet
any further questions feel free to PM me i will be glad to answer them

You are aware WD is notorious for not giving you the rpm they advertise for drives regardless of model except for their top line right?

If your hard drive is powering down, depending on what make and model, it is possible to tell the drive not too. The HD manufacturer web site will usually have the firmware patch available.

If you are buying another drive, recommend Western Digital Scorpio Blue 2 1/2'' as they run everything are very reliable and reasonably priced.
