    Exclamation Usb Loader Gx problem

***Ok first im french so there might be some errors in my writing sorry in advance***

    hi, i have a softmodded LU70, 4.0, on cios38 rev16.

i'm using usb loader gx and a 120 gb ide hdd from a laptop that i put into a external case, i've been using it flawlessly till the newly dowloaded games that i was putting on seemed not to work..(ice age 3, mad world, no more heros)..then i realised that some of the games i already had and already played with did't work anymore??(zelda, punch out, rapala fishing frenzy...wtf?? so i tried updating my usb loader version and upgrading to cios38 rev16(i was on rev14 before) with no success, now yesterday my friend came with his hdd (200gb seagate from a desktop into a external case) copied all my games into his drive and all the games worked flawlessly(on a softmodded wii that i softmodded for him with cios38 r14 and usb loader gx)so i tried a few of the"non working" games on a usb stick and now they work!!

so my question is.... is it possible that my hdd is crap or something? or overfilled?..... i have about 40 games taking 96gb on the available 106gb from the hdd... or reformating the hdd and reinstalling the games do it?...i also tried deleting the specific games and re-adding them to the drive but no success.....

    Help!!!

Thanks and sorry for the long text but i only want u to be well informed..

I'm having almost the same problem except that some of my games that worked still work. I even reformatted, and replaced all of my games onto my 500gb Seagate External and it's still not fixed. I only bought the thing a week ago...but no one has even answered my thread that I posted yesterday...seems like a lot of people don't care to post around here??

Same ting with me it sounds like:...
Right, if I had any hair, I would of pulled it all out by now.

    I have USB Loader GX
    4.2E
Installed what I belive to be the right Cios but to be honest I think I have got myself confused.

USB loader works and I can "rip" burned downaloded games from CD to the USB storage device in the back. Games will run once loaded, but i will loade for example Smarty Pants or Big Brain Academy, no real patteren as to which game, and this "rip" will cause a game that did run ok, to no longer run !!!

ALL CD's will run with out any probelms direct from the CD drive using USB Loader.

Its getting really frustraing as i will get 4-5 games onto the USB storage and then load one more and 1 or 2 of the previously working games will no longer run.

    PLEASE HELP ME..!!

Push come to shove we will jst have to run the CD's from USB loader but that not the point of it !!

    Thanks in advance

Don't have any other externals around. It's a 500gb, as of now I have a 10gb unformatted partition, and the other 450 something is WBFS. I load all of my games using WBFS Manager 3.0. The drive isn't even 25% full, it's got something like 400gb free. Always the same games that don't work yep.

I have the exact same problem. I am loading games from my USB Hard Drive using USB loader GX (the latest Revision). Some of games just decided to stop working, and all these games played fine last week. I load the games and then a black screen appears.

NO, I'm not missing any IOS' because these games played fine the week before.

Also, its not specific games, its random games on my hard drive.
for example, this week, Wii Sports, Madworld, and Zelda decided to stop working (black screen when loading).

I noticed the music is missing for these games when I click on the name or cover in USB loader GX, yet the music was there last week.

I reformatted my HHD and my SD card, reloaded these games and now they work again. The only problem is I don't know when they'll stop working....

This happened twice already, anyone have any solutions?

    Thanks

    NTSC Wii 4.1U & cios38 rev17.

When these games fail, they also fail to load with NeoGamma RC1

This is the exact same problem i am having. Has anyone found a solution?

Im not sure if it has something to do with ripping games using USB loader GX. or using the WBFS manager. i might reformat the HDD using a different version of the WBFS manager il use (Wii Game Manager). And clear USB loader GX off and start fresh with my sd card , and/or use a different loader all together.

This happens alot with usb loader gx! It's something to do with the code in which it is written.
Try deleting the config files on your sd card then rebooting usb loader and see if that works.
If no success then switch to wiiflow. It's a much less buggier usb loader.
And simon0372 double posting the same content and bumping threads is frowned upon
by the moderators so be careful. Get wiiflow here and thank ithian for the download file.

Fantastic!, Thank you very much for the reply.

I will Reformat my HDD & SD card to start from scratch and from the get go i will just use Wiiflow

Is there a safe way of ripping the games direct to the HDD with the wii?, or am i best just using a WBFS manager to avoid problems?

Il let you know if Wiiflow & Clean ISO's fix the problem.
