What to do if a game is not working
What to do if a game is not working:
-For starters, make sure you have cios38rev14. If you don't, install it. (click here for the installer)
-Then, you should make sure you have the most current version of your loader:
Neogamma: Get the latest HERE
UsbLoader GX: Get the latest HERE
WiiFlow: Get the latest HERE
Configurable USB loader: Get the latest HERE
uLoader: Get the latest HERE
-Make sure your HDD is configured correctly: (click here for a guide on using HDD for backup loading)
-Make sure your game is not one of those which need "special care". A list of special care games exists at the bottom, if the game is one of them, take car of it accordingly.
After that, you need to identify the problem:
A)Green Screen
Green screen is an easily identified problem. It means that the game you are trying to run is out of region, meaning that It is PAL while your Wii is NTSC or visa versa. Try messing with the regional options of the loader, it happens accessing the settings. Try to set "Force Pal or NTSC" depended on the re*gion you are (Europe/Australia is PAL, America is NTSC-U)
B)Black and white picture
Another easily solvable problem. Again it means that the game plays in the wrong regional settings. Solve like the previous
C)Black screen
Unfortunately black screen is a tricky one, as it could mean a lot of things. Most commonly, an IOS is needed (click here to read about IOSes in the FAQ) . Before assuming anything else you must do this:
-Find out what IOS the game needs (click here for a list)
-If the game is not on the list, you must do it manually (click here to learn how to do it, please submit the game you fin din the list above)
-Get the IOS from NUSDownload (click here to find out how)
-Install the IOS using wadmanager
If this solution has not worked for you, try googling for the game and see if it needs any special care. There are many out there that need special settings to play.
If that does not help then it might be a bad dump/download/disk or whatever...
One more thing that is worth trying, if you are using a USB HDD is to change the ios used to 222/223. If you dont have them, install them using hermes installer (click here for the installer)
D)Game freezes while playing
If the game is NSMB then see this guide (click for the guide)
For all others, then it must be a bad dump/download/disk. Re-dump/download/burn disk and so on.
E)Error 001
I thougth it was solved... install cios38rev14, forget about the newer ones. (click here for the installer)
F)Error 002
If you are getting this using a usb laoder, then you must go to settings and turn 002 error fix to on.
G)Error 1048/1053/1101
Only for disk loading. Use Verbatim DVD-r, burned at 4x. If still nothing, then unfortunately you have the new D3-2 chip that does not allow backups to be read. You can use an HDD though.
