    Wii Play Update

    Hi all

I've just tried to run a backup copy of Wii Party on my Wasabi chipped machine and it came up with 'Update Required'

Obviously I don't want to brick my Wii so can anyone tell me if it's safe to continue or am I not going to be able to play this game

    Thanks

    J

I have done many updates from discs, all fine, they only load what they require, not what nintendo wants. But always double check region and Nintendo specific games updates online before committing

Disk updates load exactly what nintendo want.

they have the full update on them, not just parts of it.

You all should Know By now (If you read The Tutorials ) To Install Priiloader...To Block All Updates.

    Don't Tell People It's O.K. To Update.

Woah sorry i caused such a stir,
It just seems so obvious when I would be update from a game disc that was clearly created well before the version my Wii was on, but wanted to update it could only be loading an IOS's that I did not have, I have updated my wii over 15 times at a discs request (after a quick check online) and never had an issue. I am using some knowledge before updating and check online before hand, especially Nintendo ones. I just put pikachus adventure on, which is definitely made after my version, all good though,
but yes following my advice explicity may cause issues at some point in time

I think the stir was caused because accepting a Nint update is very risky, you dont know 100% what effect that update may have on your system. That is why it is advised to install priiloader and block these updates. If you need to update do it manually ie. if you look in my signature you will find all the latest ios' as wads, in my op a much safer way to update than accepting anything from Nint.

Hello. I have PAL console and I have Wii Party PAL game. I don't have any Internet connection and I don't use any things like Homebrew or softmods. I have D2Ckey chip and 4.2E soft version. Can I update it to 4.3E or will it cause a birck or any other problems?
