    Monster Hunter Tri with Wiikey?

    Hello!
I have a hardmodded Wii, with Wiikey 1.9s.
I have 3.2E, and Homebrew channel is installed.
Monster Hunter Tri can be started from Neogamma, but after I go to new game, only black screen and a beeping sound awaits!
Is there any way to play this game without the need of installing a softmod?
If someone could help it would be great, other games always worked so far with a patch, or a new kind of loader, but I tried everything I could and Monster Hunter has the same problem.
    Thanks,
    Saito

Neogamma is a softmod loader. What do you mean softmod, sounds like you are already there.

I don't have a softmod, and haven't installed anything to my Wii, only Homebrew Channel.
Neogamma does work for me with the WiiKey, newer games haven't started without it (Error#002, blue screen and things like that), but with it they work.
I used brickblocker for PAL, and Freeloader to play with NTSC games a while ago, that's why I haven't updated from 3.2E, but after a while new games didn't work, that's when I found Neogamma.
Nothing succeeded with Monster Hunter:| (and based what on I read probably Metroid won't work with my methods either, which I will be interested in too)

So, that is why I'm asking that is it even possible to play it with only a hardmod, like Wiikey, somehow?

Ok then, I was almost certain that neogamma needed a cios on slot 249 to run backups, but I have not kept up with aspects of hardmods to know otherwise.
The games you are referring to have guides as well as being on the problematic game list. These guides usually, but not always have instructions for hardmods as well as softmods.

Indeed, always has been and always will be the case --- WiiPower doesn't like Hermes IOS 222. For hardmods and using the disc channel, usually it comes down to a missing IOS; NeoGamma strictly uses the cIOS, not the IOS as normally required by a given game. Find the IOS required and install it (sounds like you're soft and hard modded); you'd normally use Wad Manager after consulting this thread.

    Thanks for your answers!
I read the guide about Monster Hunter Tri, but I couldn't install Hermes cIOS 222_223 installer, because I don't have the option to install IOS223 as 38 merged with 37. Also there is no IOS249 for me... only 4,9,11-17,20-22,28,30,31,33,34,35,36,37 and IOS242.

So Monster Hunter is using the IOS55-64-5149? If I could install this through WAD Manager it would probably work?
Is it safe to install IOS files like this with the wad manager, to a 3.2E Wii? Won't it break anything?

By the way NeoGamma uses IOS37 for me, the first time I downloaded it (I think it was R7) didn't work, the games didn't start, but R8-R9 works correctly.
