    Some advice please?

    HI,

I'm posting on behalf of a friend who has a problem I hope you guys can advise on?

Basically, her Wii was modded some time ago. I've opened it up and from what I can tell it's been modded with a D2CKey via a Wiiclip! Bizzarely she hasn't tried playing any back ups until now so thought she'd give it a go! We've tried about 10 different back ups, burnt on all sorts of discs but her Wii wouldn't read any of them except for FIFA 09! The fact that it reads one back up proves that the chip is functioning correctly but we are completely stumped as to why it won't recognise any of the others?? (Yes, some of the others were on the same branded disc as the Fifa 09 back up)!

    Any ideas please guys??

    Thanks!

    I'm a muppet, sorry!!!

It's on 3.4E and the chip has never been upgraded! I have had a look around the net for a firmware upgrade for the chip but with no joy. If i'm going to be honest, however, bank holiday Mondays are for boozing (for me) and not web surfing! I'll have a better look tomorrow...... Unless one of you guys can point me in the right direction??

Here in lies your problem u need to update via disc to firmware 4.1 on the wii and find out if any updates are available for your chip and do them and that should resolve the issue for most games, u may still have a problem with some but obviously u deal with them as and when they come.

Warning do not update via wii online as this will put u on 4.2 which u will not want to be on.

    Sounds simple enough, cheers!

Now, how am I going to update to 4.1 without going to 4.2?? Via a certain disc(s) I guess but which?

    Cheers again!!
