Usually from a bad burn (too fast or too many things running in the background) or a bad iso.

    Well this sucks...

I guess I'm the only idiot here who had a problem! I wasn't home to "not update" but my son borrowed the retail version from our neighbor and installed the update (he didn't know any better). Game runs fine on disc channel as it should, but Wiiflow is out of comission! Screen goes black and I have no choice but to hold the power button to power off/on. Ugh! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't even care about SMG2 at this point in time bc things just dandy without it. Is there anyway to remove those updates or revert back to whatever it was that got changed? I'm reluctant to tinker with it until I get some feedback as I'm no softmodding pro. Wiiflow was working flawlessly just lastnight...

    Thanks in advance.

You have to resoftmod using a 4.2 guide.

    Super mario galaxy 2

What ios does smg2 need to run? I have wii 3.2u and i get black screen upon loading this game...

edit: by playing around i got it
    smg2 needs IOS56-64-v5405
for all others on 3.2 who are having this issue get the IOS56-64-v5405 using dop-mii

edit: note this was for disc loading

Im having a problem with Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Im using a Drivekey modchip V 1.0 ! No softmod. I loaded the Super Mario Galaxy 2 game into the dvd drive. It showed the SMG 2 logo in the Wii Menu. When I clicked start, it gave me the Error #002 message. Can someone please help me out getting the game working? If I need to softmod my system which files do I need since there are so many out there? Thanks a lot for your support.

If you read Ithian's post, it states this is a reported issue. One user he linked to had it working without issue, but his was also softmodded. Go post in the Introduction Section of the site and you'll get links to softmod your Wii.

BTW note to all mods/users: I (if not Ithian) will routinely weed out posts on this thread that qualify as "FAILs." Like the cIOSCrap guy for one... or the Rev 15 cIOS 249 guy for another. Any issues with that, let me know.

Thanks. I was hoping it was that easy. Just did the whole DopMii and cIOS updates thing and it seems to be working fine. Played for a good 30 minutes.

Just curious, would it be adviseable to install PriiLoader?
Also, should I make a NAND backup of my system now (hacked)? I already made a NAND backup before I did any softmodding months ago.

If you had Priiloader installed, you'd not have been put into this position in the first place. That should tell you something. And whenever 4.3 appears and kills your homebrew, that'd tell you something else. So yes, Priiloader most certainly is a critical option that should be installed. You can make NAND backups whenever you want, and as often as you want. If you had boot2 access with BootMii and your previous NAND, you could revert to pre-update.

Anyone else notice the cover download only shows the front and is kinda blurry (using Wiiflow)? Not sure of the forum rules and don't want to piss anyone off, so I won't post it here. However, I scanned the whole thing (front, back, spine) as a single image but I don't know what to do with it. I don't have a WiiTDB account but I'd be willing to send it to someone so it can be added.
