    Exclamation Help! Urgent!

Ithian I am folloing ur guide right now but there r steps here that require me to make choises and I do not know what to do.

Apply ES_identity patch to IO36? (I cliked yes)
Apply NAND Pernissions Patch? ( i do not know which one to pick)

I heard that if u brick ur wii u can restore it by load a nand backup made with bootmii, something i did not do! How do I proceed now? Is there any danger? Is this process reversible? Pls help me! I have never been this scared in my whole life!

Oh and just so u know, I intent to install
IOS56-64-v5661 instead of IOS56-64-v5405 so that I can play Metroid, the other m and Yu-gi-oh duel transer (and yes i know this is not the support thread for thse games). Is this ok?

Thought you were intending on installing that IOS56 back in September. That's quite the delay.

If you followed one of our guides you've got a fully signed IOS36, so don't worry about it. If you didn't follow one of our guides to softmod, go do that. Now.

Make a NAND backup with Bootmii. Now. No exceptions. If you don't know how, then go follow one of our softmod guides.

Finally, it's just a Wii. I have a feeling you'll face many worse situations in your life besides modding a game console.

Is it realy ok to Press B ("no" to "apply nand permissions patch") now and close dop-mii? If it is I will do it right away!

Really man? I'm outside trying to grill up dinner right now. Believe it or not we're not here at your beckon call.

Honestly, I'd infract for double posting but I don't think it'll do any good. You'll go on doing what you're doing like you have for the last 4 months and nothing'll come of it. I think I'll just log off and shut down my mail client for the evening.

    Unhappy apology

I am realy sorry for annoying you and interupting your dinner. I dont like being like that nor I had the intetion. I just feel so..."inferior", compared to people like you when it come to stuff like that that I cant help to feel I can rely on you. I didn't apply nand, I closed the dop-mii and will make the backup, as you instructed. Apparently no damage was done to my wii. (I tested it with MH3). Again, I am sorry for being such an a##. If you need me to make it up to you in any way please let me know.

this is weird, super mario galaxy 2 was working flawlessy on rev14 of Cios, then I updated to cios rev17 and now super mario galaxy 2 (along with somes other games but not all of them) just stay on the black screen (normally the loading just after selecting the save file). I tried reverting to rev14, doesn't work. I tried installing the ios 56-64 v5405 but I still get the black screen after selecting the save file (in super mario galaxy 2).

can you help because I'm lost and searching the web and this forum didn't really helped me yet.

Using usb loader gx? Sounds more like a corruption on the hard drive or bad game dump than cIOS. Black screens after game has started and past the wrist strap screen means your cIOS/IOS are probably (I say probably) fine.

    Could try these things:

    -reinstall cIOS
    -backup and format SD card
-try a different dump of the game
-backup, format, and replace all games on your drive

This is exactly why I went and installed the softmods on my Wii. I got so tired of the kids scratching up the expensive games that I just had no choice. I'm sorry to hear about your problem. Have you tried different IOS's when launching the game?

If the original is scratched, you will probably have to go out and buy a new one...I'm not sure if it's considered piracy if you have a friend with a copy that can loan it to you to re-install it on your HDD since you have already paid for it...

    Rich.
