Can you say more about the Wii?
Is it system menu 4.2 you have?
Is it from the same region?
Do you know if the Wii likes your discs?

Im using usb loader gx and have installed the game. Problem is that at one level the music dissapears, which then basically means that the game hangs. Technically it doesnt, since I can still continue playing the level. But at the end when I get the star I just get a black screen when the wii is supposed to load back to the ship or whatevs. If I try to exit to the shit (or the wii home menu for that sake) the same thing happens with the black screen. Has someone expirienced similar problems??

It happened for the first time at the second galaxy, I reinstalled the game then and got to continue for a bit. Until the last galaxy (the one before the 7 stars checkpoint), here the same things happens again, even though Ive now reinstalled the game two times.

Of course Im checking out other copies, but I still have some waiting to do before theyre done, so I was thinking that checking if others have expirienced something remotely similar wouldnt hurt.

THe WII was 1st generation PAL released with a WiiKey 1 installed.

It was working fine with all games until Super Mario Bros was released, I got a copy of Galaxy 2 Pal and tried the disk Verbatim Dual layer disk written at 2x. The Game is PAL but not from our region AU

In some threads it recommends before using it to upgrade to WiiKey Firmware 1.9x and everything should work, I should say the config version is 1.3. I upgraded the WIIKey to 1.9x and inserted the disk. It idntified the disk fine and recommended a firmware upgrade, I thought it should be OK as it was PAL.

After the firmware completed the system rebooted and came up OK 4.2E, I then inserted the disk and it recoginised the Disk then came up with a 001 Error ??

Also all old copies of games an features are working and functioning properly

    Hi!

I´ve read nintendo modding for only 24 hours. And got this working with just one little problem. Im softmodded my wii, with HBC, Neogamma v8.
    I followed this tut: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

I have to run the cIOS installer twice for correcting errors, my HBC was flipped upside down, just reinstalled it. Installed Neogamma, run wbfs manager to copy over the games to my external.

WBFS 400 GB, Primary, 100 GB NTFS Secondary.

And bam every games i have loaded is working. At least those 16 i have tried.

disc could not be read - refer to wii manual

for anyone who gets this error message, i just solved my problem by burning on a different brand of disc and cleared the first galaxy so far. i've been using the cheapest brand i could find and all the smg2 from the same pack of 100 discs didnt work.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 on 4.2U

    Hello,

I have a wii (4.2U) with hardmod d2ckey. Can not run Super Mario Galaxy 2, then I decided to follow the
tutorial "Full hacking guide for 4.2 system menus!!!!" and yet SMG2 does not work.

    - Disc Channel -> Unable to read the disc
    - Neogamma -> Exception (DSI) Error
    - USB Loader GX -> When I try to install, it appears the disk size that is 0.00 GB

I used three different ISO SMG2 found on the Internet.

I've tried to change the gameid to RB4E01.

I have tested with three different disk manufacturers. And they all work with OTHER games.

I ran the SignCheck. Here's the result:

SignCheck 0.3b aka loveSexWii build report
    Wii region, Usa
    Wii unique device id, XXXXXXXX

IOS number, "Trucha bug", "Flash access", "Boot2 access", "Usb2.0 IOS tree"

AND... I'm desperate!!! So what else can I do?

4.2 , don't know if its from the same region but its PAL (which we also use in norway), it usually likes the discs (meaning every other of the 30 games I have worked fine) but now I'm not sure anymore because of smg2. I've tryed burning several copies on 2x 4x and 8x, 2x seems to be the hardest one for the wii to read, while 4x and 8x are pretty much the same. I'm using memorex discs, but thinking of trying out verbatim, always liked that brand Hopefully that should magically solve the problem. Still some input would be nice

but my disc wont read in Neogamma (error 1167)
so i want to try the WiiISORenamer but with the Game ID mine says SB4P01 but not SB4E01
so shoudl i still rename to RB4E01 or to RB4P01

pelase reply fast so i can finally burn it again and i hop i can play xD

i ahve the same issue for Rock Band Green Day as with SMG2
only the game ID of RB green day is : R36P39

P = PAL and i have a PAL wii so that's correct i think but what does E mean ?
