    "Unable to Read Disc"

    My Wii 4.2 U i have this problem "Unable to Read Disc" when burn ( ind-smg2 )

    but i download ( ws_smg2_ntsc ) and burn DVD-r it work perfect in NeoGamma

    If im not mistaken the iND release of the game IS scrubbed and the ws_smg2_ntsc isnt, that´s probally why the ws_smg2_ntsc works while ind-smg2 doesnt.

    I'm also having a problem when I try to load smg2 through my backup loader (neogamma r7) it either gives me the timeout error after ten seconds or it sits there for 5 minutes trying to load the game before it goes back to the main menu.

    Im running on:
    ios249
    rev14
    neogamma r7

    and this problem has never happened when I have tried to load backups before

    ok i have a question...but before i say it i have a few thinks to mention.first of all i have a softmodded pal wii and i will definitely buy this game for my wii.the problem is that the ntsc-u version is out and i want to try it but when i buy the game i want to continue my adventure with it.i don't want to convert my saves so that my pal game can read them(to much hassle).so i had this idea:if i use one of those programs that are out there(like WiigionFree) to convert the game from ntsc-u to pal will that change affect the saves as well?will the saves from my converted game be recognized from my purchased game?
    god i hope this makes sense

    burned with imgburn 2x DVD-R
    works fine with neogamma r8 ios249 rev 17 (softmodded just 4 days ago using 3.1 - 4.1 tutorial)

    at first i got error 001... waited a while then tried again...playing it right now. no problems encountered so far

    yes it works on soft chip r99.the anti 002 fix is an option on soft chip so select enable,and change ios to 60 by hitting + that will let select 60.I used a prescrubbed iso

    Thoughts on the game so far...(75 Stars In)

    Overall I like the new levels and concepts and the game has been a lot of fun. That being said, I don't think this game was any "harder" then the first one and the levels themselves actually seemed shorter. Of course I haven't played them all yet but these are my thoughts so far. Also the "combat system" of ground pounding the planets to hit browser was very boring to me and didn't add much to the game. The end boss fight was also very disappointing in difficulty level. I am hoping as the game progresses it will be more challenging to get those last stars.

    Anyway, just my thoughts, I know it's designed to be accessible but I like a lot of challenges in Mario games.

    (I know this is a guide but I didn't feel like this post warranted a new thread, feel free to move it if you wish although I did look for another place to post it).

    That's fine with me Krank, maybe consider submitting a formal review?

    As for my thoughts about 4 worlds in I tend to agree with you concerning the challenge of the game. I chain prankster comet levels when they show up, and some of those can be a nice workout for my Mario-handling skills, but overall I haven't experienced the "fist-banging" toughness that Miyamoto expressed about the game prior to its release. I like the optional Luigi levels and that they gave him a slightly different handling/response scheme than Mario, and that he opens up fairly early in the game instead of requiring 120 stars like the original. I'm also impressed with the details that went into the graphics -- for a Wii game it looks great and, in my eyes, definitely superior to its predecessor. I'm also glad they used a lot of songs from earlier Mario games and brought back some of my favorite baddies for Mario to pounce on.

    So far, overall I think they did a better job on this game than the first, at least to the point that I enjoy it more (coming from someone who really doesn't play his Wii very often), and I look forward to what I'll see in the rest of it.
