This is the only method so far (requires modchip or cIOSCORP).

Right, you are in the hardmod section. So that means you have a modchip, so that means you can play backups in your region.

In order to downgrade to 4.1 and get region free back...you need to use an exploit(mariokartPWNS) to run the .dol/elf file of the app you want to use (either hackmii installer to install HBC or Dop-Mii as this guide uses).

    EDIT: Just noticed this....Read Here
    Damn I suck!!!!

Thanks for the note about the Yu-Gi-Var i've been trying to play around with that. Think I got a bad ISO of the game though. Fails to boot after the opening and title screen.

Nightmare finding an ISO of the Japanese version.

If you have the HBC installed you can use GeckoOS to launch your import games. That's what I'm doing when I want to play a NTSC game on my PAL Wii with D2Pro chip.

    Downgrading from 4.3U to 4.1?

    Hi,
Could you please let me know if this procedure works for downgrading from 4.3U to 4.1?

Yes and no. You need to use dop-mii v13, and you need to load apps via game exploit. So you would load a game exploit, load loadmii, then load dop-mii v13 and follow the directions of this guide.

The instructions for downgrading 4.3 are better described in my guide linked below.

Is this link not suitable for 4.3U? It is from you and does mention that it works with 4.3U. I am hoping to use this as I have a drivekey and this has other options apart from using exploits.

Sorry for asking so many questions...I just want to make sure that I am following the correct procedure. I have gone through it now and understand it. But my problem is that how do I even load Indiana Jones original game disk? I have a wii with drivekey and I upgraded from 3.2 to 4.3U online. Now it does not even read original game disks. I disabled drivekey from its config menu but still the same. Should I remove drivekey? Did I brick my wii? Please help!

    OK...I fixed it...mauifrog is great!!

I think my drivekey was incompatible with 4.3U. So I removed it, followed the instructions to downgrade to 4.1U and installed drivekey again. Its working perfectly now!! Thanks a million
