Unable to Read Specific Games

Hello everyone, thank you for being so supportive.

My Wii is hard modded' (Wasabi Zero) and everything should be fine, except one thing. It can't seem to read specific games (Unable to read the disc. Please read the manual...?) I'm able to play a burnt DDR3 and the original Wii Sports; however I can't play Call of Duty Reflex (IOS). I use IMGBurn and the disc brand is FujiFilm DVD+R with enough space.


[Edit:] I’ve tried both Pal and NTSC of Soul Caliber (IOS File) with Verbatim DVD-R, however I still can’t play. :(

Black screen or plays for awhile and does this? Verbatim DVD-R, Taiyo Yuden DVD-R and Ritek G05 media work best (Fuji used to have a lot of Taiyos; not so much anymore). Moving thread to proper section of site...

When I put the disc into my Wii, the loader channel display the "unable to read disc" before the game even started.
(there's no black screen)

Is Fujifilm DVD+R not useable?

I was wondering, is there something wrong with my Wii (laser) or mod chip?
Or is that my burning or disk brand at fault?

I tried reburning that game trice with IMGBurn (2x, 4x, MAX), however nothing seems to work. While I don't think two of the most downloaded games on "that site" (can't paste link) seem to be the problem. If you need more information, I'll happily respond.

you have to use dvd -r's, dvd +r's wont work unless you set the booktype to -r, but this is not recommended

I've just purchase a Verbatim DVD-R pack and decide to redownload Call of Duty: Reflex.
However, it still wasen't able to load at all. :(

I was wondering if my Wii is missing some important-system files (since I have a homebrew channel)? Or that when I updateded my Wasabi Zero, it failed significantly.

what system menu do you have? you might just need the ios that the game needs, I softmod, so I have no idea if the Wasabi is causing it

Wii's menu (sorry for my inexperience)? My Wii is 4.2U.

Is your game an out of region one? I don't much about wasabi or hardmods but I know that 4.2 won't allow you to play out of region games on most hardmods.

I've attempt both PAL and NTSC, however both didn't work at all.
While it shouldn't be a problem with Wasabi Zero, since it has a region bypasser on its options (enabled).
