GH5 and RB beatles wanting "update"

    Hi all,

Noob here, I just installed the drivekey and all of the games I have tried have worked great, except for RB Beatles, and GH5.

When I insert the disc, instead of the disk title showing, it says I need to "update".

Before I go and screw something up, I wanted to ask the experts. Is it ok/good to do the update? Will it mess anything up?

I did try to search this question, but with no luck....either i'm not asking correctly or whatever, but I did try.

    Thanks for the help

If you are hardmodding then the only way to update is by running the update on disc. Provided it's from your region then you'll be fine.

It's only softmodders who need avoid updates, at least until 4.2 reaches discs anyway.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

    Thanks Tealc.

They are for my region, NTSC. No softmods are on this Wii.So, when I insert the disc into
the Wii, and when it loads, go ahead and choose "update"? correct?
Will it actually update, or will it just on to play the game?

    God day wolfsmane.
I have updated my wii with PAL RB Beatles, no problems. (Have not tried GH5) The only problem that I have is when I’m playing, the guitar does not respond all the time. I don't know if this is a one player problem or a two player problem, I have only played two players.
Please let me know if you have the same problem.
    Cheers.

I went ahead and did the update.

So far, there doesn't seem to be any noticeable
    problems.
