how do you sync rockband 1 drums?

bought a set the other day but i cannot sync them to my wii, doesnt appear to be a sync button??? where is it & how do you do it as the instructions mention nothing about it??
alos im wanting to use them with guitar hero world tour, should this make a diffrence to syncing them?

any reply much appreciated as havent found any information on this any where,

u need to hv the right IOS to rock !
