Thumbs up Original games VS Emulated

I am a bit of a video game junkie, I own 8 systems and 1000's of games and that's not an exaggeration. anyhow in the last week i installed an emulator for genesis and with a few of the games i own for that system.

I noticed that the game was much nicer on the original system. this is not to say that the Wii does not emulate beautifully; it does. but not as good as the original I thought and since i had this as a personal opinion and not fact, i was wondering who out there might think the same way.

In most case scenarios the ROM will play and look better on an emulator.

I'm on the same page with Taven. I own an atari2600, NES, SNES, and Genesis. It's much more fun to go old school. I even got the nintendo wireless system (AKA Nintendo Sattelite) and love it.

Don't get me wrong. I own just about every system and love to play them all but...once you start playing around with all of the various emulators filters and plugins you can't top looks and performance on an emulated system. Of course it's also dependent on the emulator and PC.

See your talking about on the pc yes emulations on the pc look good. Emulations on the wii with a big screen can look bad like Pokemon red for example made me queesy on my 50 inch tv where I had no problem on my 17 inch laptop. But newer games like those on vga and up look great on the wii so it depends on how far back/ what size screen you have.

True but most Wii emulators still look better than their original system or VC counterparts IMO. Some people are more purist and like the original feel and looks of the console it's meant for. It's all a matter of perspective.

Right I am saying if you go way back though some of the older ones just look bad on bigger newer tv's period so I guess its a matter of perspective. Personally I would rather use a 64 controller than the wii remote for a 64 emulator just seems easier to me.

+1. That's how it was made to be played. Atari joystick and wii emulator are not the same at all.

I do have to admit though I like having all my systems built into one so I dont have to drag them all out and blow into my cartridges and the system to make them work. Or worry about tapping it and freezing the whole game lol.
